As I grew and became more interested in graphics, my photographic interests developed also. Black & white photography became my preferred medium. I was influenced by many famous photographers, with Don McCullin being of special interest. I started to enjoy processing my own images as part of my college course. I was locked in the darkroom for hours honing my skills.

I owned an enlarger (much to my mam's dismay, as I used our bathroom as a temporary darkroom!) developing and printing my shots at home.

I still continue to take pictures to this day, and I'm able to integrate this into my daily work as a graphic designer. While digital is quick and easy and the technology improves, I still love traditional methods and shoot all my black and white on film.

I have won a number of photographic competitions, and became a member of a photographic club in my area.
